BILL WANDSNIDER, RLA, CLP (Registered Landscape Architect, Owner): Bill earned a BS in landscape architecture at UW-Madison. He is a PLANET Certified Landscape Professional and past President of WLCA (Wisconsin Landscape Contractors Association). In his 30-plus years as an owner/operator, Bill has put a major emphasis on continuing his education. While he is committed to providing innovative, responsive designs for clients, he also loves being involved in the construction process of each new space. Bill keeps active in community and professional organizations while spending his work time on his award-winning designs. Challenging or unusual site problems keep the creative juices flowing, but he states, "The listening part of things (clients, employees, and others) is a really important part of what I do."![]()

CHARLES KOCH, RLA (Registered Landscape Architect): Charles has over 20 years experience as the owner of a landscape design/build company. A history of creating award-winning design projects is among the many accomplishments he brings to Wandsnider Landscape. His ability to create timeless designs and communicate his ideas through perspective drawings helps his clients to envision the dynamic outcome of their project. Certainly, the challenge of blending customer satisfaction and 100% effort in design equates to a winning combination between client and landscape architect!
DAVID ZENS (Senior Project Manager, Production Team Manager): A PLANET Certified Landscape Technician as well as a licensed Commercial Pesticide Applicator, Dave has been an integral part of Wandsnider Landscape’s success since 1981. Dave brings to Wandsnider the landscape experience and wisdom required to coordinate and construct the spectacular new outdoor living spaces for each client.
JACK SCHMIDT (Foreman): Since 1984, Jack has been creating award-winning environments with Wandsnider Landscape. In addition to his extensive hands-on experience, Jack has worked to continue his education, enhancing his horticultural skills and knowledge. His expertise with machinery allows him to conquer some of the most challenging job sites. Bringing a careful and analytical approach to construction, Jack takes the time to test different solutions and pays attention to the details that make a project "outstanding".
PAUL LAABS (Foreman): Paul earned an Associate Degree at MATC and is a PLANET Certified Landscape Technician as well as a licensed Commercial Pesticide Applicator. He began working in the “Green Industry” in 1979; gaining diverse and extensive experience with several companies in Wisconsin and Florida. Paul especially enjoys working independently on complex projects. Constructing large wall and step systems from irregular slabs of rustic stone is just the kind of challenge he loves.
HEIDI KRIEGHOFF (Associate Designer): While holding a Commercial Pesticide Applicator license, Heidi earned her BS in Wildlife Ecology at UW-Madison and completed a landscape technology associate degree at MATC. Her experience in the landscape industry began in 1995 with tree and shrub care and maintenance. Joining Wandsnider in 1998 enabled Heidi to gain experience in the construction and installation end of landscaping. She enjoys job diversity, from pruning and working with trees to installing brick and assisting the design staff.
JAVIER OLMOS (Forman): Javier has more than a 20 year career in the landscape industry; he has worked in all facets of landscape maintenance and development with Wandsnider Landscape for nearly 10 years. He has extensive experience with both horticulture and construction. Javier’s artistic finesse allows him to confidently tackle complex projects. Javier’s experience in the industry allows him to communicate ideas with both clients and landscape architects.
DONNA DREA CPA (office and financial manager): Donna has worked in many facets of public and private accounting as well as financial management for over 25 years. Donna has worked with Wandsnider Landscape for over 10 years handling the accounting as well as office and employee management.
